Matthew J. Wagar, Principal

Along with my 20 years of experience in architectural design, 10 with my company, Moon Hill Design, Inc., I also possess 10 years of hands-on construction, frame through finish. This is a benefit not many Architects enjoy. My experience in design, planning, illustration and development of construction drawings, is based in working for various Colorado architectural firms, with a strong emphasis in custom residential, and a firm foundation in commercial design. This combined experience gives me the unique ability to create a project with constructability in mind from start to finish. This in turn reduces the need for on-site modifications, and confusion of plan intent. I have an understanding of construction challenges, as well as an appreciation for the stresses contractors have on their end of a project.
In all projects, my goal is to produce the design or product that meets or exceeds your desires. My project process consists of providing a clear understanding of building design direction. Sketches and illustrations assure design satisfaction prior to a full commitment for construction drawings. This process eliminates the frustration of spending too may architectural dollars before the client is completely satisfied with the design direction, reducing the likelihood of redesign. All projects are assessed individually, and we will work side by side to develop the design, with a commitment to my clients, that the design process will be fun and exciting. I strive for complete satisfaction from building conception through construction.
I also can provide for developers and realtors, presentation illustrations for marketing a spec project, or to show design intent for a potential project. Artistic exterior and interior 3-D line drawings and color illustrations can be produced in a timely manner.
I would enjoy the opportunity to meet and discuss how I might help bring your project to life.
